Valentine's Day Love

On Saturday, Shawn took the boys to the donut store.......which is a huge treat because we don't eat donuts often.  I would definitely call myself a sugar/junk food Nazi but I also know that you must make exceptions from time to time.  And honestly they enjoy and appreciate it so much more!

My 3 sweet boys picked up some flowers for me.

On Sunday, Mimi came over for several hours so that sweet boy and I could have some time together.  We stopped by Barnes and Noble and looked through some books.......

We went to see The Imitation Game.  Good movie.

Then we had a yummy dinner at Trulucks.

This blueberry martini was awesome.  I may have had two.
Such a great night with my love......talking about how much has changed since we sat at this same restaurant last Valentine's Day.  It was fun to reflect back on our year and make some big plans for 2015.

In Jason's Honor

Last year I was online looking around for water purifiers. I was researching one for our home and during my search, I started to feel unsettled. I was prepared to spend money on a purifier….for water, that by most countries standards, is healthy to drink as it is. I started thinking about people in other countries and about how their water greatly differs from ours here in the states. Millions die each year because of dirty and contaminated water. God put it on my heart that day that we needed to make a difference.
Our family decided to team up with the John 4:14 foundation and fund a well in Uganda in Jason’s honor. I got the pictures of the finished well a couple of weeks ago and am beyond happy to know that it’s complete. 2500 people have access to clean drinking water because of him. This journey still seems so unreal at times.
One of my biggest fears is thinking that people will forget him. Although these people will never know what an amazing husband, dad, son, brother and friend he was to so many…..it’s my prayer that each time they go to get clean water that they see his name written on the side and wonder about him. It’s my way of whispering “please don’t forget.”
I want to mention that this project has nothing to do with us but everything to do with the Lord. He has blessed our family in so many ways and He opened the doors for this to become a reality. All the glory belongs to Him.
"Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual
riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything."
