Clarification and our last several days.....

This kid cracks me up!!  Last week, Cooper wanted to wear a "fancy" shirt so that he could look nice for this girl in his class......who he's had a crush on for a couple of years now.  This one is gonna give me a run for my money, I tell ya!

We had some time before we had to leave for school and Cooper grabbed a quarter and some paper.  He started flipping the quarter and writing on the paper.

He was making note of which side he landed on.  I glanced at his paper.....a little confused.  I asked what he was doing and he said "I'm keeping track of when I get heads and backs."  Hahahah!!

Digging a little deeper in the science behind how it all works.....

This is pretty much how you will find Hudson.  He always has at least one shoelace untied....no matter how many times I ask him to tie it.  Crazy kid!

Building forts

Took the boys to get haircuts

and then swimming.  We are sooooo ready for summer!

Spent a little time at the park before it gets two hundred degrees hot outside.

I volunteered for field day on Friday at Hudson's school.  He was pretty much PMSing that day and would not let me take a single picture of him. So, here is my one pic to prove I was there :)

I was clearing out a basket of pictures this weekend and stumbled on this beauty. One of our engagement pictures.  Seems like yesterday and 20 years ago all at the same time.

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Lazy Weekend

I love lazy weekends....

Making dinner the other night and cooper says "what, we are eating rubber bands for dinner?" Ha....crazy kid. That's pasta!

Saturday morning the boys played so good and let us sleep in. I woke up and the boys told me they had been working on a "movie." I walked into Hudson's room later in the day and saw this:

Using our imagination. Building a fort out of jumbo Legos.

Playing games on the iPad. Our "no iPad during the week" rule is the best decision we ever made.

Crazy Rudy. He desperately needs a hair cut. Eating a tissue he found in the trash. Yuck!!

Saturday evening we went to church and dinner and then came home and piled in our bed and watched a movie. Perfect way to wrap up our day.

Friday Favorites

1.  A new fence

Jason and I built our house and moved in December 2000.  Our fence has been hanging by a thread for a while.....so we were excited when our neighbors behind us (who just had a pool put in) asked us if we wanted to split the back fence.  This created a domino effect and 3 of us shared different sides and got a nice 8ft cedar fence.  It makes such a difference in our backyard.  We are staring to check things off our list....planning to sell after the beginning of the year and build or purchase a new house to start fresh.

Can't tell you how much I love this cleaner.  Not only is it safe to use (no harmful/toxic ingredients) but it cleans so well.  And it smells wonderful too.  It's very concentrated and you just dilute depending on what you are cleaning. I make a large spray bottle for everyday things like cleaning my counter tops, spraying my mirrors, etc....  I pour a little into my sink and use it to mop my floors.  Love this stuff!!

3.  Just got this fun little passport case.  I found it on Groopdealz and thought it was cute.  Even more excited that I'm going to use this passport at the end of summer.  Come on vacay!!!

4.  Have you seen these diffuser necklaces?  You can wear your favorite Young Living essential oil on your locket and take it with you.  They have a really neat mission that you can read about here...... and I love that every purchase helps send Sacred Frankincense to cancer patients.

5.  This night time foot rub is my favorite thing this week.  I rub it on and I'm sleeping like a baby.

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Our MD and other stuff.....

The weather has been great lately.  Trying to enjoy the handful of days that feel like spring because before we know it, the temps will be near 100.
The boys are admiring a lizard in our yard.

Love these boys.

Last Wednesday, I took the boys to see Jason's mom.  I told the boys that morning that we would be going there after school.  Cooper said "can we draw a picture for Mimi and do something special for her since dad isn't here to make her feel special?"

I was making sandwiches for their lunches and had to walk out of the kitchen as I fought back the tears.  Oh my.  Such a sweet heart.  I pray so often that we all are able to learn from this death.  Please Lord, make us more caring.  Help us to empathize with others.  Teach us to love deeper and sweeter.

Hanging with Mimi

On Friday night, my boys showered me with flowers and sweet cards.  Cooper made this at school and it was so cute to read his "reasons."

This was by far my favorite......he is SO my child.  Yes, sweet boy....we hope to always take great vacations and make wonderful memories together!

On Saturday, we spent the day with Shawn's family.  His sister recently moved and we wanted to check out their new house and celebrate Mother's Day with his mom.

Cousins having fun in the pool....

We got home Saturday night and Cooper's face was super red......even though I put sunscreen on them a few times throughout the day.

I liberally applied my lavender oil to his cheeks and nose (avoided eyes).....

.....and less than 24 hours later he was good as new.  I LOVE my essential oils.  Always finding new ways to treat our issues.

I taught an essential oils class at my house last week.  Peppermint brownies were on the menu.  I just added 5 drops of my Young Living peppermint oil to my favorite brownie mix.  Yum-O!!!

On Sunday, I was blessed to spend time with my mom and sister for Mother's Day.  We don't get together often enough so our time together is a real treasure.

My mom wanted/needed a leaf blower + vacuum.....so that was her Mother's Day gift from me.  Felt sort of random to hang out at Home Depot on Mother's Day.....but oh well.  She's a happy mama now!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Friday Favorites

1.  I ran out of my bronzer that I bought last year so I headed to Ulta to get another.  I stumbled on this one......
.....hard to tell from the pic but it's not orangey at all.

And the best part is that it smells like milk chocolate. Oh my.  Yum-O!!

2.  A while back, I mentioned that I love my Naked Palette 2.  But that set is pretty big and sometimes it's harder to travel with if space is limited. I found this little guy and it's the perfect size.

3.  I absolutely love my Young Living lemon oil.  Love.  Obsessed.  It's good stuff.

4.  Sweet boy starts a new position with his same company on Monday (thank you Lord.....huge praise) so he had Thursday and Friday off.  We got to shop and have lunch and play while the boys were at school.

5.  Shawn bought me a new laptop back in the fall and I didn't have a cute case for it.  While shopping today, he bought me this precious laptop case.  Love it!

6.  Super excited about the Big Berkey.  No more yucky fluoride in our water.

Have an awesome weekend!!
