February 11 marked my year anniversary as a blogger. Yeah, I know .........I razzed the girls at Bunco for the longest time about how they were able to just throw their lives out there for all to read. Well, I finally decided to jump on board and I'm really glad I did. It's been such a great outlet for me and has really kept me wanting to journal and take more pictures of the boys. On the 11th, I sat down and wrote a great post and just as I was about to hit "publish" the entire thing disappeared, pictures and all. I was so emotionally ticked and drained that I didn't have it in me to start over. I figured I'd be posting about V-Day so I just waited until now to get back on. I spent some time on the 11th looking back at last February and it was so neat (and a bit sad) to see how much the boys have grown- especially Cooper.
Valentine's Day did not turn out quite as planned. It was a super busy day for me, running errands and getting things ready for the evening. H had school, Rudy went to the groomer and I felt like I spent my day in the car. Last weekend Hudson was sick and I was confident that he was getting better. He still felt under the weather today and this evening he didn't feel like participating in anything I had planned. I was a bit disappointed since Cooper is still so small and really didn't "get it" this year. I bought our second annual heart shaped pizza this year and Hudson didn't even feel like eating it. He sat at the table for about a minute, asked to be excused, and then fell asleep on the couch.

This year I added some Valentine plates/cups to our collection and each year I'll pull them out on this day. A little corny I know but these are the things that kids remember.

My little "future heartbreaker"
Hudson managed to go to school and have a good time today. (he really didn't start feeling bad again until later this afternoon) When we got back home, I looked in his backpack so that I could get his lunch box out and go through his folder. Inside, he had a Valentine's Day card for me that they had made. I braced myself for something really sweet as I opened it up.
I read the front and got really excited...........my mind was racing through all the reasons he loves me.......but I never expected to see this:
WHAT???? I was thinking more along the lines of.......she plays with me, gives me good hugs and kisses, bakes cookies with me, etc.......... Little did I know that just by drying my hair I'm making a good impression!
Luckily on Monday night, Hudson and I decided to make our VDay cookies. I'm glad we did because we would of had to skip on that this year since he didn't feel good tonight.
I also had to skip giving the boys their books- a tradition we started last year. Guess I'll just wait until tomorrow and try to get a picture of them together then.
On a positive note, a new episode of Lost was on tonight and that made my day! Pretty sad, huh? Jason and I plan to have a date night on Saturday night so that should be fun...as long as my punk starts to feel better.
